Circuit City to Sell XBox 360 Early?

As of today, the 13th of November, this page on the Circuit City website says that the XBox 360 will be available on Friday, November 18th at 2pm EST. Could this be an error or is Circuit City really going to sell the units 3 days early? If this is true, does that mean that Microsoft entered into some sort of agreement with Circuit City? Either way, this is certainly an interesting development. It might be worth your time to call or stop by Circuit City before the lines start forming.

Clarification / November 14th:

Joystiq is now reporting that Circuit City has clarified the issue stating that “We are not selling them earlier in our stores; I apologize for the misinformation you received from the call center. We will have Xbox 360 units for sale in all Circuit City stores nationwide beginning 10 a.m. local time on 11/22/2005. They are first-come, first-served as we did not allow any preorders.”

Apparently, Circuit City will be selling a limited number of bundles on Friday via their website. The units will not ship until 11/21.
