Crocheted Super Mario Bros. 3 Map Took Six Years To Make

Kjetil Nordin is a Norwegian computer programmer/skydiving champion/crochet master who spent 800 hours of his free time over the last six years crocheting this Super Mario Bros. 3 World 1 map.

He was especially careful to get exactly the right yarn colors to match the Super Mario All-Stars version of the game and, according to NRK, even scrapped one section when the shade of water looked too purple.
