I’m Pretty Sure This Is The First Board Game Set Inside A Human Cell

I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure that Cytosis is a first for board games.

A board game taking place inside a human cell! Players compete to build enzymes, hormones and receptors and fend off attacking Viruses!

Yeah…pretty sure.

Players utilize the organelles within a cell to collect cellular resources such as mRNA from the Nucleus, Lipids from the Smooth E.R., ATP from the Mitochondria, etc. and score points when they use these resources to complete Hormones, Receptors or Enzymes!

At this point you might be wondering whether or not you’re smart enough to play this game. If that’s the case, you should know that it is intended for ages 10 and up. I’m not sure if that will make you feel better or worse…I feel a little worse.

Cytosis is the work of John Coveyou of Genius Games—the same guy that delivered a card game for chemists. All-in-all he has developed five award winning science games, and Cytosis is poised to be another smashing success. At the time of writing it is pushing $100K on Kickstarter on a $14,500 goal with 23 days left to go. So there’s plenty of time to score a copy of your own for $39 with a ship date slated for August 2017.
