If you’ve ever played Dungeons & Dragons or any other roleplaying game, no one has to explain to you how valuable the experience can be. I think that playing D&D develops the imagination, creative skills, and even though it provides a means of escape, it also feeds our reality. It comes down to this: gaming is important to our society. A new documentary wants to explore that in addition to the history of D&D.
Dungeons & Dragons: A Documentary (D&D: AD) will provide an overview of how the game started and talk about the influence it’s had on our culture. It celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2014, and the documentary will be released that year. However, filming is expensive. The filmmakers need a little help to make it happen, and to that end, they have a Kickstarter project open to raise the necessary funds.
