Word is that Bungie will show a 2 minute video of Halo3 at their E3 conference on May 9. While some companies have shown videos in the past were not actually generated by the game engine but were pre-rendered, I would bet that Bungie and Microsoft have no intention of trying to play silly games like that. It would make no sense to try to trick their consumers being that the first two releases were the largest selling games for the Xbox.
Microsoft has a huge stake in this. Other than the frenzy surrounding the Xbox 360, the biggest buzz I have heard in the last few years is when Halo 2 was released. IAnd Halo 3 will be right there again.
While I am sure there are plenty of gamers out there that prefer the PC FPS’s, I myself am a huge fan of the Halo series, for the combination of the game play and story line.
There has been talk of Halo 3 releasing on the same day as the PS3. I am sure that would be Microsoft’s choice, but looks like Bungie will have the final word on a release date.
