Mass Effect 3 Gets Launched Into Space: Track Free Copies Via GPS

In the category of one of the weirdest publicity stunts ever, Electronic Arts plans to attach copies of the upcoming Mass Effect 3 to weather balloons and launch them into the sky starting next week. They’ll tag the balloons so enthusiasts can track the exact location of the game and use GPS tools to collect the treasure when it falls. So, if you’re determined enough, you could score a copy well before the March 6th general release.

You’ll be able to track the floating games at the official Mass Effect website. To participate, you’ll need to be near New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Berlin, London or Paris.
