Third Way to get into Halo 3 Beta Program

Let’s look at the three ways you are able to get into Halo 3’s Beta program.

  1. Sign up on Halo 3 website and hope to get picked
  2. Buy the specially marked version of Crackdown that has a beta key
  3. Play Halo 2 online for 3 hours of multiplayer sessions beginning Feb 1, 2007 and be one of the first 13,333 people to register at halo3.com.

The first method is a crapshoot. The second method is fine if you were already looking to buy Crackdown, otherwise it would seem to be a waste of money.

The third method was just announced today by Microsoft. It is open to residents of the 50 US states, but only to those 17 years of age and older. If that is the means you hope to gain entry, I would suggest not waking up at noon to begin. They probably won’t last long. Go to the Halo 3 website for all the rules and requirements or to see what they say about other regions ability to get in on this.
