Nintendo Revolution

More Revolution news is making headlines today as IGN reaveals new information about a potential launch date.

IGN writes: “According to studios we spoke with under the condition of anonymity, Nintendo has told them that Revolution will debut in America “during the week of Thanksgiving 2006.”

If this is true, it would obviously derail the rumors of an early 2006 launch. It certainly seems plausable given the fact that the Gamecube launched on November 18th 2001.

IGN also pointed to comments by Nintendo of Europe’s Jim Merrick that indicated the company would like to release the console globally within 14 weeks of initial launch.

Chances are, we will not know for sure until E3 2006 kicks off this May.

However, other sources believe the actual release date of the Revolution to be somewhere closer to Thanksgiving 2006. [...]
