QMx is offering Doctor Who fans an “extremely limited edition” example of the 11th Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver. As part of the QMx Artisan Master Series, the prop has been completely handmade by Nick Robatto, who has been the prop maker for the show since it rebooted in 2005. Each Sonic Screwdriver takes two weeks to make and consists of 148 aluminum, copper, brass, resin and leather components. Like the example seen on screen, the prop also extends, opens and lights up. The custom-built, lighted display stand features text in the language of Gallifrey, as well as the edition number and Nick Robatto’s autograph.
If you want one of these props, you’ll want to sign up for the waiting list on the product page as soon as possible, as only 25 will be made at a whopping $4000 each.
Check out some additional photos after the break.
