J.J. Abrams Visited The Set of Downton Abbey, Would Love To Direct An Episode

JJ Abrams Downton Abbey

J.J. Abrams is a cool guy. This isn’t news to anyone. How could anyone directing both Star Trek and Star Wars movies not be completely awesome? He just leveled up though by taking time from doing a press junket in London for Star Trek Into Darkness to visit the set of his favorite TV show: Downton Abbey. Yep, he strolled onto set and apparently got hired as kitchen help. Put some muscle into that stirring, J.J.!

Speaking to Empire Magazine a while back Abrams noted:

I’m a huge – almost to an embarrassing degree – fan of Downton Abbey. I find myself pathetically addicted to that series….I just want to guest-direct an episode of Downton Abbey. I would, seriously….I don’t think they would have me. But I would be honored. I just want to visit the set maybe. It would be my dream in life. I’m not kidding you!

Could you imagine what he could do to period England? Aliens. Crazy, fast cut action packed duels perhaps? Frightening smoke monster mysteries on the grounds? Oh, the possibilities.

What do you think a J.J. directed episode would be like?
