Hayao Miyazaki may have retired, but his characters will live on forever. They are the sort of creations that inspire others, and artist Richard J. Evans decided to pay tribute to Studio Ghibli by creating a pixelated spin on some of their characters. He’s taken familiar faces from My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki’s Delivery Service, Princess Mononoke, and more. I’m surprised by how well this style of art suits the characters and stories. It makes me want an 8-bit Studio Ghibli video game!
See more of the neat series after the break.
