Swedish artist Simon Stålenhag paints glorious pictures of the Scandinavian countryside then fills them with science fiction creatures. From mech robots and space crafts to dinosaurs and unknown technologies, his artwork portrays realities of a “childhood that never was and a future that could have been”.
Stålenhag’s work has captured the Internet’s attention over the last few years, but a new Kickstarter project with Free League Publishing will fund two new books featuring Stålenhag’s vision. The illustrations within each book will be accompanied by short stories written in English. Grab your early copy while you still can!
