New Zealand was lucky enough to play host location during the filming of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, and now they’ve got real stamps and coins with the likenesses of the characters. They’ve released a whole series to commemorate the release of the movie and even Sir Ian McKellen, aka Gandalf, thinks they’re cool, saying, “To put Gandalf on these splendiferous coins is a wizard idea.” As if we all needed another reason to plan a vacation to New Zealand.
