When books are published in different countries, they usually get their own book covers. This could mean different art styles, focus on different characters, etc. I find editions that are not published in the United States usually have more beautiful and interesting art. The covers for the Japanese versions George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series are an excellent example. They have a slight manga style and practically cry out “fantasy.” I’d love to have these as prints on my wall.
See more covers after the break.
