If he’d built just a cockpit, then that would have been cool, but this is actually a fully functioning simulator. Laurent Aigon spent five years building this 737 cockpit simulator with parts he ordered online and the help of his friend Jean-Paul Dupuy. He’s not even a pilot, but a waiter who has a passion for flying. He also rigged it to monitors so it can simulate landing in different destinations like Sydney and Rio.

Aigon enjoyed the process of building the flight simulator so much that he’s now looking to turn it into a new career. He’s hoping to complete a five-year certification program that will allow him to build flight simulators professionally.
