The news that G.I. Joe: Retaliation was having its release date pushed from June 29th, 2012 to March 29th, 2013 prompted a lot of questions, which resulted in an announcement that certain scenes being re-shot with 3D technology in an effort to capitalize on foreign markets.

Apparently the delay is actually due to the re-filming of scenes based on a poor reaction from test audiences, who reportedly disliked the fact that Channing Tatum’s character Duke was killed early in the film and that there was a lack of character development between himself and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
At least they’re working to fix things before you spend money on a ticket.
