The Make-A-Wish Foundation And The City Of San Francisco Makes BatKid’s Wish Come True

gotham city chronicle

Five year old Miles has leukemia and has been battling it for half of his young life (thankfully, he is currently in remission), so when he said he wanted to be BatKid, Make-A-Wish sprang into action.

And, man, did they deliver. So we wanted to share the day from start to finish. Check that out after the break…

First, the news posted his schedule of the day ahead.

To The Batmobile!

Batkid’s first wish? Rescue a damsel in distress.

Distressing the damsel…

Rescued!

Next? Stop a robbery. Do we have a robbery in progress?

Looks like. Here comes BatKid!

KERSMASH! BatKid gets his man.

BatKid got a lunch break, but it seems like a heroes’ work is never done. Looks like The Penguin’s on the loose and planning mischief.

But BatKid’s always watching over Gotham…

The Penguin’s plan became clear.

Oh noes! Poor Lou Seal!

But BatKid swept in…

And saved Lou!

The charges against The Riddler and The Penguin have been filed.

The city gathers to say thank you to Batkid.

And BatKid is given the key to the city.

Even the President recorded a message for BatKid.

It’s so cool to see so many people come together to make this happen for Miles.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation knocked this one out of the park yesterday and we’re so glad to be able to share Miles’ amazing story. If you want to help other kids like Miles, visit Make A Wish for details.
