Spider-Woman #1 will be out this November. Written by Dennis Hopeless with art from Greg Land, the title is all about Jessica Drew and a threat to the Spider-Verse. Unfortunately, all of that is being overshadowed because of a variant cover by Milo Manara.
The cover is pictured above and has a couple of big issues. Like, “I can’t believe multiple people approved the cover” sort of issues. First of all, let’s talk about the butt. Is Spider-Woman wearing body paint? Because that’s the only explanation for her butt looking the way it does. For the record, it would be dumb if her costume was body paint.
Secondly, that pose. Manara has drawn erotic comics, but those poses should be left behind when it comes to portraying mainstream superheroes. I’m so disappointed in Marvel for not sending this one back to the drawing board.
