Sony GPS-CS1The folks over at Sony have come up with an accessory for their Cybershot cameras that might be interesting to users who like to travel.

The GPS-CS1 is a tiny GPS device that records your exact whereabouts as you travel around the globe. When you are finished taking photographs, simply plug the GPS unit into your computer and sync your time stamped photos up with the locations stored in the device. In the end, users will be able to enjoy a map with markers indicating where they took photos.

As Popgadget noted, this idea would make a great built-in addition for future camera models in the Cybershot line. For now though, users will have to pay an extra $150 for the technology as a peripheral device.

The GPS-CS1 should hit store shelves sometime next month.
