Just a few days ago we showed you a mockup for iPhone Table Connect. It transfers the data from your phone and projects it onto a 58-inch table display with multitouch—essentially turning your entire desk into a working iPhone.

Admittedly, I had my doubts about the table, but they promised demo videos and what they delivered doesn’t completely debunk it—although the fact that they put the iPhone to sleep before the demo is highly suspect.

They claim that the software running the screen is still in the alpha stage, so it might take a while before the desk is finalized—and there’s no word yet on what these guys plan to do with the table once it reaches that stage. I certainly wouldn’t be surprised if this turned out to be fake, but we will just have to wait and see.

From CubicleBot: What you are looking at is a mockup of a 58-inch, fully functional iPhone table with a multitouch display. The Table Connect accepts connections from a normal iPhone 3GS/4 and transmits the UI to the desk.

Again, this is just a mockup, but a demo video of a working prototype is supposedly coming in a few days—and we wouldn’t be surprised if they actually went up for sale at some point. Just imagine—full-sized games of virtual air hockey and a game giant Angry Birds that requires teamwork to play.

I don’t know what’s up with Alex Varanese’s desk, but my desk sure as hell doesn’t play 8-bit stop motion video games. I’ll have to double check Ikea.

Varanese’s design was inspired by Michael Gondry and R-Type.

This desk reminds me of something that those financial geniuses on Wall Street might buy for themselves. It is unique and expensive. Since the Mayans are known for having the only fully developed written language in the America’s before Columbus landed, it only makes sense for them to have a desk based on their culture. Just think how cool it would be to have this thing in your office when some underling comes in. Of course, us underlings are not that easily impressed.

globus-scriptorium

Why would you get a desk and a chair when one product can cover both needs? The Globus Scriptorium takes up less than 9 square feet of floor space, but gives you both a chair and desk when unfolded. The chair even swivels so you can still goof off just as you normally do. Unfortunately, while it saves you floor space it will cost you a bundle more. See a picture of the Scriptorium closed after the break.

It may seem counter-intuitive that one of the most destructive forces of all times is now supposed to help you keep your desk tidy. I think it shows that Darth Vader is not quite the one dimensional person we all thought he was. Everyone around you will know when you remove something from his helmet as he lets out his unmistakable breathing sound.
