The redwoods of northern California look like Endor for a reason. Parts of Return of the Jedi were filmed around Sequoia National Park. When Anthony Herrera took his family on vacation there, he told his kids that it was the home of the Ewoks. Though they didn’t spot any during the trip, they did notice a couple of furry creatures lurking in the photos once they got home. Really, it’s lucky they weren’t spotted; they didn’t have a C-3PO with them to save the day.
