A Harry Potter fan who wanted some functional yard art commissioned Heights Workshop in Houston, Texas to create a 9 ft. tall replica of the Weasley burrow for her cats. A local news station caught on and did a story on the project which you can view after the break. You’ll notice that the woman is adamant that she’s not a crazy cat lady, but we’ll let you decide that one for yourself.

Berry, a 10-year old German Shepherd that once played Sirius Black’s “Padfoot” Animagus form in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is up for adoption after his owner, stuntman Paul Thompson, was forced to give him up.

“I found myself spending a lot of time away from home,” Thompson says. “The dogs needed more attention then I could give. It was a difficult decision to make but one I had to accept was best for the dogs.”

Interested parties should know that Berry is a package deal with his life-long friend Porridge, a 13-year old German Shepherd Labrador cross. Both are currently being fostered at the UK-based German Shepherd Dog Rescue.

If you have ever dreamed of attending Hogwarts, I have some bad news for you.

1. It’s not real (so, there’s that).
2. Even if Hogwarts was real, it would cost roughly $42,752 to attend per year.

Where did that magical figure come from? It was calculated by Centives, a blog run by Lehigh University’s Economics Society based on the cost of a typical English boarding school along with the items specified in Harry Potter’s admission letter in the first book of the series.

However, Centives missed the fact that Hogwarts is located in Scotland, which would probably drop tuition slightly—unless it was classified as an extension of the English witchcraft and wizardry educational system.

What would Voldemort look like as a newborn? The answer is a hell of a lot scarier than he does as an adult.

Artist Tracy Ann Lister has created super-realistic dolls of Harry Potter characters as newborns, and some of them will haunt your dreams forever. See what I mean after the break.
