The Muppets are cute and crazy, but now they’ve gone a little scary in this parody that puts them in charge of us. Yes, we’re the ones on strings with Kermit and Gonzo controlling our every move. Also, we’re all dead so up the creepy factor to twelve.

There’s not a person among us who hasn’t indulged in a few selfies. Admit it. They’re fun and most of the time they make you smile. This batch is practically guaranteed to make you smile because it features The Muppets. Check out Kermit, Gonzo and even Beeker during their down time when they aren’t working on the upcoming Muppets Most Wanted.

Sir Ian McKellen made a stop at Sesame Street and ran into the puppet version of Gandalf guarding the grocery store. You might think he’d yell, “You shall not pass!” and that would be the end of it, but McKellen used his manners and was allowed to happily go about his business.

The Periodic Table of Muppets was designed by artist Mike Boon to include not just the Muppets, but all of the people who are Muppet-adjacent. This means you’ll have every Muppet, even the forgotten ones, as well as the Muppeteers who brought them to life. All the colors and eyes even match their people and Muppets! You can pick this up as a t-shirt or even a print to hang on your wall.

star wars muppets

It’s almost the time of year again for Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The annual event always means an influx of new Disney Star Wars merchandise, but some of the coolest products born of this mash-up are the mixing of characters from the Wars and The Muppets. As seen above, this year’s line up adds to a few new figures to the collection. Yay Gonzo as Darth Vader! You can only get them at Hollywood Studios for now, but they’ll probably be available at the rest of the parks soon.

Muppets Ghostbusters

When you need the Muppets turned into a bunch of characters from pop culture who you gonna call? Kenny Durkin. The artist has turned Kermit and friends into characters from Ghostbusters, Lord of the Rings, The Walking Dead, and more. It’s a cool idea, and the names of each piece are almost as neat as the actual art. I’d love to see Fozzie the Bear star in the The Wocka Wocka-ing Dead!

Right, because who hasn’t imagined the world of Final Fantasy as a musical involving puppets? Comedian Brent Black (Brentalfloss) spent about two years putting together this little musical video tribute to the mages from Final Fantasy. You’ve got the Red, White and Black mages all singing their little hearts out and the only thing funnier than watching them flail around is listening to the words they’re singing.

Doctor Who Muppets [Art]

If you were at SDCC this year, you might have picked up one of Amy Mebberson’s Doctor Who Muppet prints. If not, you can still bask in it’s glory via the image above.
