File this entire post in the category of “please, oh please, let it be true.” Joss Whedon has been known for doing readings of Shakespeare at his home, and he’s been thinking about making a feature film version of Much Ado About Nothing for a while. When he took a month’s vacation from The Avengers, he had a super secret shoot for the play at his home in Santa Monica.
The cast includes usual suspects Nathan Fillion (Firefly), Sean Maher (Firefly), Amy Acker (Angel), and Alexis Denisof (Angel). EW.com has an interview with Whedon and some of the cast and Nathan Fillion tweeted a link to the official movie website. Surely, it has to be a real thing. Keep your fingers crossed.
