spider man

We’ve seen the work of Marcus Reugels in the past (a photographer famous for taking shots of water droplets refracting the images behind them) but these Spider-Man and Batman versions are right up our alley.

Geek themed rooms are always good things even if the room is the bathroom. After a friend expressed a desire to have a Spider-Man themed room in the house for her husband, Riley Replicas designed a faux brick wall with some of Spidey’s villains punching through. The wall ended up being put in the bathroom.

“I had a friend who wanted to decorate a room in her house for her husband who is a HUGE Spider-man fan so I made this wall panel for the room. I went with a faux brick wall theme with Spideys villains bursting through the wall! I have The Sandman, The Lizard, Doc Ock and The Green Goblin represented.

Just wanted to add pics of the wall installed in the customers….bathroom! Pretty unusual place but I think it turned out OK”

Yes, it is unusual. I don’t know about you, but I’m not sure how I’d feel about looking at Sandman’s fist while I’m taking care of business. Still, it’s following in familiar footsteps. Check out these Super Mario Bros and World of Warcraft bathrooms.

John Barrowman can act, sing, dance and fight crime. That having been said, this recently unearthed medley he performed while on tour last year featuring Spider-Man and Wonder Woman has a little bit of everything.

Using stereoscopic techniques to create a three-dimensional look, artist, architect and former NASA employee Kurt Wenner created this awesome Spider-Man street art, which gives viewers the impression that they are tightrope walking on his web high above a city. Additional examples of Wenner’s work can be found in his book Asphalt Renaissance.

Either that or he’s stripping on the side.

As one of New York City’s resident superheroes, Spider-Man sees a lot of fires, and puts his strength, agility and Spider-Sense to good use rescuing anyone who might be trapped inside the burning building. But the real heroes are the men and women who do the same thing every day, without the benefit of a radioactive spider-bite. They may not be able to scale walls without a ladder, or break down a door without an axe, but the firefighters of NYC have truly earned the name “New York’s Bravest.” This two-pack of 2-inch Minimates mini-figures pairs Firefighter Spidey with an NYC Fireman, and includes an axe, a flashlight, and various interchangeable parts. Limited edition of only 3,000 pieces!

For some reason, artist Alexandre Nicolas has taken it upon himself to create a series of superheros, including Batman, Superman and Spider Man as costumed fetuses floating in tanks. The weirdness was recently displayed at the “HEY!” WTF is That? exhibit in Paris.
