When the Star Wars Identities exhibit was announced, everyone was fascinated with the inkblot Darth Vader artwork. It opens next month in Montreal and explores the themes of identity in ourselves and in Star Wars characters. More portraits were released to the public, and they are insanely cool. The design work will make you drool, and the little details will make you stare at each piece for a while (or at least, they should).
Check out more portraits featuring Yoda, Amidala, Fett, Stormtroopers, and Threepio after the break.

The subject of exercise isn’t really discussed in the Star Wars universe, but Princess Leia didn’t get those abs from running the Rebellion. Surely Stormtroopers had to stretch in order to move around in their clunky armor. Artist Rob Osborne must have had thoughts like this, and the end result is a serious of hilarious posters illustrating yoga poses as performed by Star Wars characters. Even R2-D2 and C-3PO get in on the bendy action.
Check out Fett, droids, and more stretching after the break.

Burning Man is a parade of art installations and wackiness. Picture a comic convention in the desert with less comics, clothing, and inhibitions. It’s not so surprising that a Dalek car would show up or that someone would don Stormtrooper armor and guard it. I’m guessing it would be easier to exterminate this Dalek rather than cleaning out all the sound.
See the Dalek car in action in the video after the break.

Maybe you can use this Yoda and Stormtrooper stained glass from Etsy seller Donna Terraza when you build your own Rebel Alliance Church or Church of Latter Day Siths.

You may recognize Charm City Cakes and their awesomely nerdy creations from the series Ace of Cakes , but now that the TV show is over they have to find another way to get the word out and pay some bills.
To that end CCC has announced Cakes For Two—smaller cakes with ready-made designs that are reasonably priced for people that want a fancy cake but can’t afford an epic custom creation. And, in this case, “reasonably priced” is a not-so reasonable at $250 a pop.
On the plus side, the cakes actually feed 15 people—and they look awesome. The Boba Fett and Stormtrooper versions are a testament to that.

From CubicleBot: We’ve proven our love for Star Wars typography before, but I may need to bow down and just hand myself over to the mind behind this sexiness.
Boba Fett in Times New Roman type. And a Sanstrooper. Rawr.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you can make even the lamest cars more interesting by nerding them up with some decals or window stickers. Case in point—this Dodge Stratus Stormtrooper.
The project required only some vinyl sheets, RapidTac and a squeegee—all for around $50.

The new Star Wars line of retractable earbuds from Funko features Darth Vader, Yoda and Stormtrooper-styled versions inside some very clever packaging.
The product page claims that they were supposed to ship in September, but it appears that has been pushed back—probably sometime before the end of October. Either way, the earbuds are on sale for a limited time at $17.
