We’re an Xbox 360 family because my husband is a hardcore gamer. I can’t generally play games with him because he’s so good, that he leaves me in the dust where I inevitably get shot to pieces by the enemy. Many times. And then I get angry and controllers fly….it’s a bad scene.

I do really enjoy watching him play though because so many games now have fully developed story lines and characters. I wanted to see if Shepard would save the world and get the girl in Mass Effect, and I kept hoping beyond hope that Marston would find his family safe at the end of Red Dead Redemption. If a game is just about hopping from level to level, shooting bad guys and racking up points, it’s just not as interesting to me. Those games have their place, but they are not as immersive or as impressive as games with fully fleshed out worlds and characters. Epic Mickey promised to be my kind of game.

Given the fact that Lego has put its stamp on just about everything, we’re surprised that it took this long to do a Wiimote—but here it is.

Basically, it’s a standard controller with bright colors and spots on the front and back for 31 mini Lego tiles you can move around to customize as you see fit.

I suppose you can add you own tiles to it, and use the Wiimote as the cornerstone of a giant Nintendo-themed controller sculpture. Sure, it might weigh you down during gameplay—but artists often have to suffer for their work.

I’m not a big fan of board games. I’ll play a board game if its on a console or my phone, but somehow the fun of an analog version escapes me. But the fact that we live in a digital age did not stop Japanese game maker Epoch from unveiling a Super Mario Bros and a Super Mario Kart board game at the Tokyo Toy Show.

I can’t tell you how many hours I logged on the classic N64 version of Goldeneye, so I was understandably excited to hear that a remake of the game is coming to the Wii this November. Outside of the video featured after the break, there isn’t much in the way of details. But it looks like Pierce Brosnan has been replaced by Daniel Craig—again.

The game will also include 8 classic characters and 16 special game modes.

Nintendo’s annual fiscal report revealed that the company’s profit dropped for the first time in six years due to price cuts and sliding demand for the Wii.

Overall, Nintendo is still doing well with net profit totaling $2.4 billion (down from $2.9 billion last year), but it seems pretty clear that the novelty of the Wii has worn off. That having been said, I have to ask: do you still play the Wii?

Last year Nintendo submitted a patent for a Wii football accessory, but they have been slow to bring it to market. In all likelihood,  they came to the conclusion that it was a disaster waiting to happen. Not CTA Digital though. They appear to be on the verge of launching a football accessory of their own—smashed TVs and faces be dammed.

Check out what Jack Rossi did with what must have been endless hours of his free time.

Straight from Egon’s lab, after months of Beta testing I bring to you the first ever fully fictional Wii-Proton Pack to be used in conjunction with the Nintentdo Wii version of the Ghostbusters Video game. The cyclotron features four blue LEDs allowing you to know which player is selected or active and the Blue Power Cell actually shows you how much power the pack has. The Thrower has been carefully designed in regards to ergonomics and function. The front of the wand has an area in which you can place the Wii-mote and the back handle is where the Nunchuck is placed. Since the Wii-mote has in internal speaker in it’s ABS housing, when playing the game the pack makes all the iconic Ghostbusters SFX. And being that the Wii utilizes wireless technology, the wand is not tethered to the pack via a cord.
