An Official LEGO Set For Dungeon Building Is Closer Than Ever

An official LEGO dungeon building set for use with role playing games like Dungeons & Dragons is something people clearly want, which is why the LEGO Ideas project for this Dungeon Master set skyrocketed to 10,000 supporters in a matter of days. That means it will be officially considered for production.

The set would include three hero figures and six villains along with enough bricks (nearly 3000) for several square 8×8 rooms and 16×16 lairs. Modularity is a key element to the design.

Of course, just because the project reached the 10,000 supporter threshold doesn’t mean that it will become a reality. This is a larger and more complex set than most LEGO Ideas projects, so it isn’t a lock. However, it seems pretty clear that LEGO needs to deliver on a set that’s a little more ambitious than their Heroica line. Who knows? Hasbro might even be tempted join forces with LEGO and expand beyond their D&D Kre-O line.
