In a epic display of dedication and patience, musicians Daniel Larsson and Tomas Redigh of “Rymdreglage” prepared for a new music video by dumping 100 boxes of LEGO containing 650 blocks apiece. After setting up two cameras that would snap a photo every 20 seconds, work began on sorting out the blocks by color. 71 hours, 65,000 blocks and 12,775 photos later the job was complete – along with the time-lapse video after the jump.
If you think that that such a massive amount of work would make these guys never want to look at a LEGO again, you would be wrong. The video they’re in the process of creating is a follow up to their last stop-motion LEGO masterpiece entitled “8-bit trip”, which is also available after the jump. In case you’re wondering, the new project will be appropriately titled “8-bit trip 2”.
